Virtual Meeting held for Promotion of Tourism between India and Mongolia

On18 June 2024, Embassy of India in Mongolia organized a virtual meeting for Promotion of Tourism between India and Mongolia.

2. India and Mongolia are strategic partners and spiritual neighbours . Buddhism connects both countries from thousands of years. Religious and Medical Tourism from Mongolia to India is on the rise . Having a direct air-connectivity will further promote people-to-people contact and enhance business ties.

3. The virtual meeting was attended by more than 39 leading tour operators from both sides which was coordinated by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and Indian Association of Tour Operators (IATO). Mr. P. Munkhjargal, CEO of Hunnu Airlines participated along with his team. While thanking all the participants in the meeting, H.E. Mr. Atul Malhari Gotsurve, Ambassador of India in his remarks stressed on the importance of direct connectivity between India and Mongolia and the various opportunities available in the field of tourism. He told that as a first step, it is important to connect travel operators of two countries to find common platform to further the agenda.
